Hardware Can you switch motherboards between two New 3DS' ?

I finally got myself a hackable New 3DS XL, but it has a very bad screen. I have another New 3DS XL with a nearly perfect screen but unhackable. Thanks to ifixit I know it isn't very hard to open the device and take the motherboard out. The thing is, I plan to switch the motherboards of my two New 3DS XLs, but I don't know if one motherboard would work on the foreign system. In theory it should work because the motherboard contains CPU as well as the NAND. Thoughts?

It should work fine without issue the bigger question is do these two different screens (im assuming IPS and TN screens) have different connections for each mobo.

Yup that should work just fine, I don't see why not? Unless something really strange was going on with any of the connectors, highly highly doubt it. Everything is on the motherboard so swapping them should work just like replacing each LCD panel.

No, I successfully swapped a TN and an IPS motherboard and it works fine.
