Is it possible?

Instead of buying a JPN 3Ds my only alternative is to play on my EU 3Ds but the only way to remove the region lock is by using the homebrew channel (from Smea i believe?)

Info : my DS is on 9.9.0.26E and not yet "hacked" still need to buy Zelda OoT.

I would like to know too but my copy is not yet arrived so i cannot try. If not, my only choice is to buy a jap 3ds.
If someone try it, please report his feedback. Thanks.

Searching online, it seems that is not working with the region launcher but i didn't find yet an answer by someone who tried it (at least describing what goes wrong, black screen etc) to confirm so i'm still doubtful.

It indeed does not work with HANS.
Hopefully it works with the homebrew region free launcher. My copy should arrive by Thursday so I guess I'll just wait and see if it works.

If it doesn't I've wasted $100 on a game I can't play.

Yes, it should work with the Region Free Launcher. I bought myself the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon from Japan to play it with my EU N3DS. But there could be some differences for 3DS and New3DS Games, so no guarantee.

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive

Seems like, your PSU was waiting for a partner.
