Hacking Can you play GBA games on a DS using JUST an R4i Gold?

I just recently bought a Japanese Ice Blue DS Lite off of eBay, and I was wondering if I can play GBA games using the R4i Gold I own, or if I need to also have a SLOT-2 flashcard.

You can with Ichfly's GBAemu4DS. Though compatibility is very poor. If you could get a super card dstwo, you can have a decent gba emulator.

The NDS don't have enough RAM for the GBA games.

Well it has enough RAM (DS fat and lite have a GBA slot that can play GBA games)/ the RAM is the problem but the Slot-1 is not fast enough.
