I'm 19, and I hear all the sounds, except of the 22.4khz of course (the wav file is empty, so there is no sound), BUT...after 17.7khz, the tones start to sound lower...which should not happen, I guess

anyway, the 17.7khz sound sounds like it should

When people say they can hear 21.1 khz tone I hope they are not reffering to the cracks at the start end and just the tone. Because that would be silly!

The 21.1 is more easy to hear than the 19 before it!

I can hear all apart from last but I really have to listen to hear that 19!

I am 18 and go to lots of gigs this is reliefing!

I'm 22 (minus 10 days

) and I can hear up to 21.1kHz.

I opened up 22.4 mp3 with Sony Sound Forge 8, it's blank.

I should thank my SoundBlaster Audigy 2 and Creative 7.1 speakers for keeping my ears sharp.

Does it matter how loud you set your speaker volume?

because at first i could ony hear up to and including 16.7 (my speaker vol was quite low though). i turned it up a small bit and now i can hear up to and including 21.1.

Age: 16 (virtually 17)

of course it matters, how loud you set your speaker
because the sensibility for high pitch tones decreases the higher the tone gets

(and the quality of your speaker too, most laptop speakers are teh shit)

its best you listen to this with good headphones in a silent environment

The 21 sounds exactly like my tinnitus, so when I hear the ring in my ears amplified I know I am hearing it
