Maybe if you get yourself piss drunk as soon as you hear a spoiler you can forget it

Not have for immediate recollection.

On the other hand I did not watch fight club when it was released. A year or so later my friend spoiled the central premise (all you have to know). 4 or 5 years after that I decided to rent the DVD.
About 30 minutes in I flash back to my friend and his line like it was a video playing back in my head.

I wish I could, I don't have a very good memory for things in general, but when it comes to spoilers my head seems to mark it as the most important information not to forget.
