Also, is there any possible way to get homebrew for free on my version? Thanks!

@SirECK Do places like Fry's or Best Buy sell those types of cartridges??
I doubt it, but why would you want to buy from there? You'd end up paying more. Just get out from nds-card.com. You can pay by PayPal so only need a bank account, don't need a credit card.

You would need to buy it from a online store for these kinds of cards. I was going to find a local one for you but if you can't use an online store it's pointless.
You wouldn't be-able to get a parent to buy one for you?
How about contacting @mrjc1238 (based in Texas) to see if they're local and can help.

@Quantumcat I also cannot buy from websites because well, i'm 13, and can't use paypal, credit, BTC, etc...
. . . i am sorry i dont see a correlation here . . . any store that sells pre paid credit cards in your area ? i can assure you no supermarket (or store period) will stop you from buying a pre paid card

Without using PowerSaves you can use a 3DS on a lower version to install OoThax on a cartridge. No way for free. Cheapest way is ntrboot, see https://3ds.guide/ntrboot
lies lies lies you can do it using the save data transfer tool you need a hacked oot install either on software and transfer to your cart or from the cart too the system

@SirECK My parents only buy things online for large purchases "$100+" and I always have to go to a store to get things for myself, that's why.

I might try contacting @mrjc1238 for help, but idk if i'd be able to like meet up or anything y'know
if you can mine btc you may be able to get one in a while

@wormdood I doubt i'll be able to even get a pre-paid, my parents don't even WANT me to buy items online anyways. I only shop with cash and in the stores around my area. The only time i've bought something online to get SHIPPED to my house was when I just bought a Wii Remote and like 3 games on amazon with my dad.

@tunip3 My laptop is a bit too outdated to mine BTC.

I can't believe you got me with that

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool
