Maybe, but what people didn't mention in this forum thread is that the Action Replay becomes an SD Media Launcher if it detects a 4GB or Lower SD card that's formatted in Fat32 on a SD2MemoryCard adapter which is how I used the homebrew on GamecubeCan I run the Action Replay as an ISO on my SD Media Launcher?

Why would you need to pot mod your console to read retail game discs...?Do I need to pot mod my GC in order to use Cleanrip on it?

Right, but if your Gamecube already has no issues reading retail discs, you wouldn't need to mess around with the potentiometers inside of it. If it's having trouble, then I would recommend cleaning the lens first before anything else.Just wanna make sure I don't spend money for naught.

Actually, is not that difficult to get one of those ones. In fact, I got one and used it with my SDML and it works well.Yes, there used to be 4 GB SD cards. Good luck finding one that isn't SDHC.
Nope. I have ripped my GCN collection using Cleanrip and played dvd backups using Swiss without having to pot the laser and everything ok.Do I need to pot mod my GC in order to use Cleanrip on it?

Thanks. Seeing as Action Replay also doubles as a SD Media Launcher program, can I use that instead? You have to launch the SD Card Media Player using something thats less than 4GB. Once you have Swiss loaded up, you can swap the SD cards to a larger one with more content.
Also having to change the POTs on your Gamecube really depends on the quality of the media you used, and the burn speed. Burn at lowest speed, and only use known good brands.

Just use Swiss cuz it will bypass the region lock on discs. Will Freeloader work on Action Replay, too?
