Can I run the Action Replay as an ISO on my SD Media Launcher?

Maybe, but what people didn't mention in this forum thread is that the Action Replay becomes an SD Media Launcher if it detects a 4GB or Lower SD card that's formatted in Fat32 on a SD2MemoryCard adapter which is how I used the homebrew on Gamecube

I ended up getting a Wii Key SD (and using 007: Agent Under Fire as an entry point) to toy a bit with Game Boy Interface (as I was frustrated with all the fiddling with the Wii every time I wanted to try different options), but I figured I'd try out how well backups work. Which leads me to ask, is the Swiss Compatibility database useless at this point? I mainly ask because of how out of date it is relative to the current version number. Since I've got a Wii and can use Nintendont, I'm not likely to actually go very far in actual testing, really. So, more curious if anyone else has experience in this area.

Right, but if your Gamecube already has no issues reading retail discs, you wouldn't need to mess around with the potentiometers inside of it. If it's having trouble, then I would recommend cleaning the lens first before anything else.
Anytime you mess with potentiometers (or POTS) for your laser, you're going to kill it quicker than it would have died on its own. I would recommend reading up about this before making any kind of modifications to your consoles.

Yes, there used to be 4 GB SD cards. Good luck finding one that isn't SDHC.
Actually, is not that difficult to get one of those ones. In fact, I got one and used it with my SDML and it works well.
Do I need to pot mod my GC in order to use Cleanrip on it?

Nope. I have ripped my GCN collection using Cleanrip and played dvd backups using Swiss without having to pot the laser and everything ok.

I found out that an Action Replay doubles as an SD Media launcher. Can I use an Action Replay?

You have to launch the SD Card Media Player using something thats less than 4GB. Once you have Swiss loaded up, you can swap the SD cards to a larger one with more content.
Also having to change the POTs on your Gamecube really depends on the quality of the media you used, and the burn speed. Burn at lowest speed, and only use known good brands.

Thanks. Seeing as Action Replay also doubles as a SD Media Launcher program, can I use that instead?
