I tried downgrading to 4.5 on my 2ds and it bricked. I restored my NAND and kept trying until I got to FW 6.0. That's the highest it would work with.

Of you course you can't downgrade a 2DS to 4.5, 2DS didn't exist at that time but you CAN update to 9.2 for Menuhax setup.

If you were unable to do this is your fault and nothing else....but it is totally possible, I have v done it twice and you can see it on the video I linked you.

You need both on hand first. Then you can sell it once it transfers.

Yo-Kai Watch 2DS bundle comes with a firmware above 9.2 apparently, so do not buy that bundle if you plan to. Otherwise, any 2DS you buy will be on a hackable firmware.

I never stated it impossible. I was just saying going lower than 6.0 on the 2ds would brick it.

He can install and update emunand, then he can system transfer to emunand 10.3

He can update his current 2DS to the latest firmware, set up his new one with EmuNAND and then update that to the latest firmware, then perform a system transfer from his old 2DS to the emuNAND of his new 2DS.

yes, even out of region, japanese or whatever that is not New 3DS exclusive.

yes you can, I would buy a normal 3ds xl but if you prefer 2ds it will work and it will be below fw9.2.
for ds you need a cheap ds flashcard, everything else yes it just works.

PS: But in out of region games online and local multiplayer may not work, e.g. out of region mk7, out of region triforce heroes, etc.

i would like to get a normal 3ds xl but i havent the money so thats why i go for 2ds

if you take down the sn and nnid info first you can sell the unit then contact nintendo and ask them to unlink your nnid from your old system and link it to your new one
tell them you doped your old 3ds in the pool or something they will help you
