Hacking Can Supercard Slot2 saves just be renamed for G6R?

I have been using a SupercardLite since way back when it got released .. like it so much I bought two of 'em. But now I'm looking at the G6Real ... I won't buy one until Christmas by which time there might be something better anyway ... but I'm wondering if I get one whether my saves from the SCL can transfer over? With the Slot2 G6, all you had to do was rename the save. Is this also true with the G6Real?

The G6 Real appears to use the same save file format as the R4 (512KB raw saves), as opposed to the 256KB raw saves used by the slot 2 Supercard & G6 carts.

If it won't load the 256KB files directly, there are lots of save converters you could use.

well, that's a bummer, but I'd be looking at converting with almost anything Slot1 that I picked then, huh. thx for the info.
