Hello i would like to mod my GBA so it can have back light, but im a noob at this. Ok so i have 2 GBAs and 2 GBA SPs.
GBA 1: AGB-001 32 pin
GBA 2: AGB-001 40 pin
GBASP1: AGS-001 34 pin
GBASP2: AGS-101 34 pin

I do not know what GBA SP screen to use on either GBA any help?
Oh and another question
Will this adapter and wire work?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-GA...729?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27ee0a1911 And if so which one do i use on what gba

Would this soldering iron work for this:

Your GBASP1 is only a frontlight as opposed to the SP2 which is a better backlit LCD. Have you opened them up yet? The SP2 has two different types of LCD that work better with either the 32 or 40 pin original GBAs.

A GBASP2 with a white tab on the LCD ribbon cable works best with a 32-pin original GBA, a brown tabbed cable is used with the 40-pin original GBA.

No problem, you should buy the adapter that matches the 32 or 40 pin of the original GBA. If you like I can upload pictures of the two tab types to look for in the SPs.

That iron should do the trick.
