Hello, actually, i really want to to resell my current 7.2.0 3DS to get a 4.1-4.5 from local store or Ebay to get Gateway 3DS but i was wondering if Nintendo Support could unlink my NNID from my 3DS so i could link it to my new one with EmuNAND 7.2 so i could download back my software, i've had bought 20$ value of games from E-Shop and i've got 3DS Ambassador games. Did anyone ever tryed that, will it work?

Yes. I unlinked my 3DS by calling Nintendo directly. They ask you a few questions (things you purchased, ect.) to make sure it's your account and then they send a report to the admins. They'll unlink it within a few days, sometimes immediately.

And can you link it back with EmuNAND and access E-shop?

Not sure about EmuNAND, but with a normal 3DS, it will keep all your purchases for you to re-download on the E-Shop.

But i mean, if i get my 4.5 3DS for example with Gateway will there be a way for me to re-download my E-shop games? Because i don't think you can link your NNID if your 3DS is 4.5

I don't own a Gateway, but I assume, from what I know, that, using EmuNAND, you can update to the latest firmware and still use Gateway. On EmuNAND, you can then link your NNID and access the E-Shop to re-download everything.

At this time, you will be unable to redownload anything. EShop requires an emuNAND that is running up to date firmware. As of right now, eShop will not run on emuNAND on firmware 7.2. You will have to wait for Gateway to release the compatibility update that they are working on.

That's right! I remember reading that. Looks like you'll just have to wait for Gateway to fix the bug before you can re-download your games.

That's good, anyway i'm not playing my E-Shop games currently, so i don't mind waiting. But will Miiverse work at least?

If I recall, the main things that do not work with emuNAND on the latest firmware are eShop, a few ROMs (the Western release of Tomodachi Life being the highest profile of late), and System Settings (you can enter in settings to start the exploit, but you cannot re-enter system settings while in emuNAND.)

I hope that will be fixed by future updates

Gateway released a statement at the end of June saying that they were actively working on it (they didn't come out and say that they had the workaround finished or if they were still working on it.) They left the message kind of vague so there has been some debate over whether or not they are close to release. They did not give any ETA on possible release dates either.

You can find their message on their website.

Anyway, i don't really mind about Miiverse or E-Shop, they're useless when you got Gateway, just knowing that one day maybe i will be able to re-download my games and that they're not lost is enough, anyway, in don't see me playing them i a near future. I'm more worried actually about the fact that Gateway can brick your 3DS..

There have been no reported bricks on 2.2, most bricks were related to diagnostics mode which gateway seems to have fixed.

Try friends or family and swap if they have a gateway compatible one

People who got a 3DS usually have most recent firmware to access E-Shop so it's kinda hard to find, but i'm still gonna search. I hope i'll find something
