So im just wondering if updating games using the NSP file format will increase the chance of me getting banned and if Nintendo can even detect that you updated games with NSP's. Right now I play only XCI games offline and have never updated the XCI games through the system or through NSP's. I would also like to know weather updating games through nsp's are safer or updating games through the system (using OFW) is safer. I know these might be stupid questions but I just want to try to not get banned because I wanna play Smash online when that comes out. Thanks in advance!

Updates are universal. But then again, if ninty somehow finds out that your game updated without going online...
