Hardware Can my wii be modded with Wiikey?

My Wii serial starts with LU5248xxxx.
Can it be modded with Wiikey?

I used the search engine but did not find the answer...

You have an American Wii there?

You most likely have the D2C chipset

I found this on another forum some member said this

"Got my Wii with serial #LU5239xxxxxx on Aug 11/07, found out today it has D2C chipset!"

Seeing how your serial number is after that, its most likely also D2C, which I believe doesn't currently have any modchips out that support that yet?

I would not reccomend putting your Serial Number into that site. It could easily be a site trying to steal it from you. (Who Knows Why?)

open it to find out for sure. chances are against you in that it's probably d2c. but you might luck out and have cut d2b with missing pad

You don't even have to put your whole serial in it anyways, they give a color chart with chipset information, just do a rough estimate by looking at it.
