If I can, how do I go about using them?

If its a .duc file, convert it with ShunyWeb. If its a .sav then it can be used as is (or at least it should work).

@stab244: The saves are .duc and .dst.

I'm not sure if you can convert .dst files, but just use the Shunyweb Savegame Converter to convert the .duc files.

a DST file is just a compressed duc file. you need to install Datel's software (available here) and decompress the DST files using it. Then, convert the new duc file with the Shunyweb converter, and it should work just fine.

edit- usage guide ("borrowed" from somewhere I found on google)-
1.Launch Nintendo DS - GBA Max Drive.
2.Go to Maxdrive DS (DS) > manage and swap save > online community server.
3.Then load your .dst file in the application using the Open ("Load a file in the PC database") button.
4.Convert the savegame into .duc using the decompress button ("Decompresses and exports the selected save file").
5.Convert the resulting .duc file into the required format (.sav, .typically)
