Is there any way I can use my JPN Hyrule Warriors Legends save with the USA version of the game? I'm not expecting to simply inject it. Is there a way to convert it to work?

The saves are exactly the same. Just extract the JPN save, extract the EUR/USA save, then copy the zmha.bin from the JPN backup to the EUR/USA backup, and import your EUR/USA save back. Et viola! You have all your save data.
I think I'm messing up somewhere then, because I did exactly this and still don't have my data transferred. Both versions are on the same update and same dlc installed.
