Homebrew can I update my emunand up to 10.3 or not?

none, update through your sysnand after you update through emunand (make sure to enable tubedns). permanent cfw is now a thing.

tbh you'd be a fool to take the word of anyone on this forum. the official guide hardbricked my o3ds back when it firsrt came out.

heres some advice: all the tuts here are shit. just follow your heart and update. or dont. its your choice, really.

So what's with all the rxtools 10.3 emunand hype? Is rxtools better than reinand? I currently have rxtools emunand on 9.2

They are basically the same, RXtools have some build in tools and region free. Reinand is New3DS exclusive and a bit more stable than RXtools but lacks those features.

But there's an app you can install on reinand to make it region free =)

Okay, so to avoid more threads than necessary, I'm hoping it's ok to ask this here.
One of my friends are trying to install 10.3 on their Old 3DS EmuNAND. They're using rxTools 3.0, and everytime they install 10.3 on their EmuNAND, no matter the method of installation, they softbrick their EmuNAND. Whenever they try to boot back into it after updating, they get the "An error has occurred, please turn off your system and try again" message.

ReiNand and CakesFW suppurt up to 10.3, i installed and updated ReiNand but i prefer cakes personally

Did you downgrade any title (such as the DS whitelist to use blocked flashcards)? That's probably the reason.

that happened after I installed a cia update to mii plaza or after I installed a cia theme (i couldnt install it because I got an error, then all my bought themes vanished)
