Hacking Can I unbrick an Wii U stuck on format screen?

Wii U was having random errors with the system memory corruption, I thought formatting would solve the issue, it probably bricked the console.

Is there a way to unbrick it? I read some articles about hardmod, but looks like without the opt.bin I cannot run some NAND tools to fix this.

If you had CBHC and you formatted it without a nand backup you're basically hosed

you should always make a backup of the flash as well as any pertinent files in case something goes wrong. the otp.bin is only 1 kilobyte.

I checked, the authorized partner of Nintendo here in Brazil said that it can't be fixed, they need to put another mainboard in it, and it will cost like, converting to USD, 250~300$. It's almost the price of a new one here. =/

you could buy just the system itself without a gamepad if yours is in working order. the gamepad is like half the cost of the system, perhaps more.

I found some used systems in ebay for like 84$ + 50$ shipping, may I'll buy one... and backup the shit out of it in the day it arrives
