Hacking can i softmod my japanese wii using the same method that i used for my american wii?

hello, so i was able to mod my american wii (4.3U) a few weeks ago by installing D2X cIOS plus a lot of help from my last thread ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/xenobla...n-even-after-forcing-english-language.486130/ ).

now i got a jap wii v4.3J with homebrew channel installed already (not sure which version. does it matter?). will i be able to mod this wii using the same stuff i used on my american wii or are there any differences that i have to consider first?

surprisingly i couldnt find any reliable info about this, so im assuming it's just the same

if anyone could confirm this i would really appreciate it!

if you used letter bomb all you have to do it pick 4.3J instead of 4.3U on letter bombs site

If the procedures are the same, would the layout of the menu be the same? My friend was asking about it and he said that he has a Japanese Wii.

The layout should be the same, if I where you I wouldn’t use letterbomb as it is outdated, use str2hax instead: https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-channel-less-sd-less-entry-point-str2hax.523210/
