It's been a while since I updated anything on my wii. Specifically, last I remember, dios mio was in (or not in, depending on the time) development. I've peeked my head in from time to time and from conversations, it looks like this is possible.

Specifically, my question is, can I run gc games off my my hd without emulating my wii's nand? If so, what do I need to do to make it happen?

yes, dios mios is about that.. playing gc games from the HDD, and there is no need for nand emulation...

just install dios mios (it will replace the console MIOS)
then use the tools included on dios mios zip to copy the games into the hdd (to the right folder)
and probably done...
you will need a loader that supports gc games, like CFG usb loader mod, or wiiflow

Just use Nintendont, it has nearly perfect compatibility, is much easier to set up than DM/Devolution, and doesn't need you to emulate the Wii's NAND (none of them do, where did you get this idea?).
