Hacking Can I play EU games on a US 3DS?

I read that the 3DS is region locked, and I am simply wondering if it is possible to play EU 3DS games on a US 3DS?

It appears most roms that are uploaded are European, and that is why I am curious. Appreciate anybody who can inform me.

I've been poking around the past few days trying to find this out too. I have a gateway on the way, a 2ds at 7.0, a 3ds at 9.0 and an XL at 9.2. What are the odds of me being able to play MH4G on any of them when the gateway update finally gets released?
