Hi, i only just got into this whole USB Loader thing recently as i didn't wanna "ruin" my HDD before. I have a 160GB Western Digital one, so its a good brand, but stll i'm a bit worried, it gets hot after about an hour of use. Can i overheat it and ruin it or am i just being paranoid?

Is it an external drive or did you just grab a HDD and plug it in? *MOST* drives as long as they are being cooled or at least vented should do fine over long periods of time.

My computer runs for weeks at a time and its fine, so your drive should be too. Make sure it isn't dirty and make sure it is getting fresh/cool air and you should be fine.

your paranoid.

Think about the hard drive thats mounted inside your computer that you leave on for 24/7.

Just make sure its well ventilated and if you lay your wii flat don't lay the hard drive on top of it.
