I just got a new Switch Lite console after selling my original back in January. Before I did however, I transferred my profile and save data to my girlfriends console just in case I ever got another one.
The problem is, while I am still with the GF, she has had to move back to her parents for a while so we no long live together and I worry if I link my account to this new console, I'll have issues transferring the saves (Any not saved to the Cloud like Monster Hunter, Splatoon 2 and Pokemon) to the new console. The reason I'm being so impatient is because I won't see her till the weekend, and I can't seem to do jack with the console without a linked account.
I've been burned by this before in the past on the 3DS... so just wanna check with you smarter folk... Do you know if I can register my account to this new console, can I still transfer the backed up account or should I just wait?
