Just wonder if I can install it directly as a wad, WiiSCU seems to patch it beforehand, I don't like patched things, only if it's extremely necesary.
I need other updated IOS to run the new ShopChannel?

I thought WiiSCU patched things, I got confused with it using PatchMii.

last time I checked, it was capable of patching some things (like IOS60), but not the shop channel

If you don't like using WiiSCU, download IOS61 and v19 shopchannnel from NUS, install as wads.
Some people find this more straightforward.

I don't know about that, but I used DOP-Shop yesterday and it worked like a charm.

I used WiiSCU, it has the option to install without trucha bug, so everything can be trucha free, as xflak said.
