I've recently bought a new Wii, which I wish to install the Homebrew Channel onto, but due to it being such an old firmware, basically... it won't let me.

The only way I can do so is to update the firmware. If I were to update it to the newest version, could I still install the homebrew Channel via the Twilight Hack as normal?

If not, how do I update it to an earlier version? Note I don't have any games with an update like that on them.

If you can, you should do an update off of the Mario Kart DVD. That will update you to the easily hacked 3.2 firmware.

If you are talking about the included update from Mario Kart Wii, someone said there is no update to get a 3.2E firmware from a game. Mario Kart in Europe has the 3.3E update.
