Homebrew Can I install a generated CIA to any 3ds, or just the 3ds it was generated for?

Just as the title says,
after I generate a CIA file from a 3ds file using godmode, can I then install that CIA file on any 3ds? Or can I only install on the 3ds that I generated the CIA on? I am asking, because I want to know if I need to keep the 3ds files for backup in the future. Thanks for your time all,

Thanks friend. Also, how can I generate xorpads from an ncchinfo.bin file? I cant seem to get decrypt9 to boot, which is what people use, and I dont see an option in godmode nor hourglass. Any tips? There's a couple games that are over the 4gb limit in 3ds format so I can't convert them to CIA on the 3ds with god mode, because I can't even get them on the sd card due to fat32 format. @Dracari

You can decrypt and convert them on a PC, no ncchinfo.bin needed.
What you can also do is trim the .3ds file with 3DSExplorer or NDSTokyoTrim, that will make it small enough to fit.

@The Real Jdbye Can you please link me to the program to use? Everything I am finding on google has to do with decrypt9 and other outdated stuff. I am using 3ds-to-cia.exe which generated an ncchinfo.bin and requests that I generate xorpads on my 3ds with it.

I managed to trim them with tokyo drift program and got them on the sd card, converting to cia now with godmode. Thanks jdbye!
