I have an old Samsung drive that I want to use to backup my own games. From my understanding I need to install the custom firmware to my ts-h943 so that Windows can read it and backup my games. So my question is: The 360 is RROD, can I still flash the drive?

You're probably going to have to fix the RROD before flashing it...I haven't had RROD happen to me but saw my friend's for a bit, but it doesn't power everything normally though does it? I remember not hearing the drive go on at all with my friends 360. And you'll need to have the drive powered on and off a few times during the flashing.

I'm not sure though, I'd have to check out my friend's 360 again later.

I personally think you would have to fix the RROD first, considering you have to turn the 360 on and off during the flashing process.
