I was replacing the save battery of pokemon emerald, and the small metal piece at the (+) solder joint came completely off. Is there a way to solder the joint without that attached?

The game works perfectly fine still, just the same old "dry battery" message when it starts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to solder the joint back to where it came off. This happened to me when I was doing a Pokémon Crystal cart last year and a Super Metroid cart a few years earlier.

I couldn't get it back on using solder back when I did that. Flux possibly could have helped though... Too bad. Proves that you have to be very gentle when desoldering.
