Can I downgrade to 6.20 if my PSP is 4g but came with 6.30?

I've searched and searched, but I can't find an answer... and what I do find seems to contradict other stuff I've found.

I bought a PSP around Black Friday of 2010. I ran the PSP Module checker, and it said that my motherboard is 4g. The system software that the PSP came with is 6.30.

I have seen information that says that ANY PSP (without exception) that is 5g or below can downgrade to 6.20. But I've also seen posts that say that if it didn't come with 6.20 or below, then trying to downgrade will brick it.

Summary: so, I've got a 4g motherboard, and my PSP shipped with firmware 6.30...

... can I downgrade to 6.20 and install 6.20 PRO, or do I have to upgrade and use 6.39 PRO?

    Thanks, everyone!

yes, you can downgrade to 6.20
there's really no worries when using some1's downgrader, because if your psp cannot downgrade to 6.20 the downgrader will just abort and go back to xmb
