I downloaded It's A Wonderful World for the DS a while ago and got up to Day 6 on it. Can I just change the name of the .sav file to make it compatible with the (E) version? Also, can I convert the EU .sav to U when the USA version comes out?

You could try; there's really no disadvantage in doing so, but this sort of thing only works for a few games, but with the issue you brought up with changing the name; how will you do that?

Yeah, I guess I'll try later. A renamed save file seems to work with the patched English version of JUS at least.

Thanks, but the second part still wasn't answered. Can I rename an EU save to make it compatible with the NA version?

Renaming works with some games (ex. Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword), I think you should try;)

It works on a lot of games worked, but the NA version of that game isn't released yet, no one really knows the answer.

Some games are compatible if you change a single Byte.

With animal crossing, I believe you have to shift the data to get it to work.

I was able to rename my (E) The World Ends With You to (U) and it worked fine.

Renaming works in some cases, there isn't a comprehensive list however. Same thing with multiplayer between different region GBA games.

I believe renaming works for the (U) and (J) Pokemon D/P, either direction. Most likely Kirby Squeak Squad too.

I've found that doing this for NDS games works quite often. I've gone from an (E) version of New Super Mario Bros. and Puzzle Quest to (U), and they worked.

For GBA, though, I don't think it'd work. My Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (E) save didn't work with a (U) version of the game.

For most Nintendo DS games, theres little to no changes to the saving process for the European and USA release of the game. So in most cases, you can safely use the save from one game to another.
