Can I use regular ROMs with the virtual console or "backup" virtual console games?

Alternatively, can I use the Wii Classic Controller with the various homebrew emulators for the Wii?

(Note: I'm NOT talking about pirating the games... I'm talking about playing games I own like Super Mario 64 in a digital form, etc)

No, you can't backup virtual console games, though there are those who can, apparently.

Also, if you have legitimately purchased, and downloaded, a VC title, then, in the future, if you delete it, you can download it again, at no extra charge.

So, backing them up is not really needed.

And no, you cannot play roms on the virtual console, though emulators, requiring Trucha or the TWilight hack, are floating around.

I don't know if you can use the Classic Controller with these emulators.

I think all of those emulators are just Gamecube emulators which require the Gamecube controller (eg. the classic controller doesn't work).
