Unless i'm totally missing something from spending hours searching on the wiird forums last night, it appears as though Gecko OS can't load channels that are moved to the SD card. Is this true? And if so is there a workaround?

I don't think there is such a workaround. Nintendo's method of loading from SD isn't considered efficient and most developers seem to want to avoid messing with it.

It's better, IMO, to use triiforce and load it from an emulated SD nand. Triiforce includes many of the features one would desire from GeckoOS. So I'd recommend looking into that.

If you mean usb HD, then yes. But it must be compatible with the cIOS. There are usb devices that aren't compatible with it.

I've never looked into Triiforce becasue i was able to launch wiiware games successfully from sd card menu but now hmm...

So wait whats the point of having this, if .wads are still installed on the Nand...

At first i though this was a "free my sd card memory and put it into HD instead"

    so its not?

Using Wad Manager 1.5, you can install wads to an emulated nand file system on an USB device. Then you can run the games under Triiforce

Triiforce loads games DIRECTLY from the SD or USB. It doesn't copy it to the actual nand first. That's the main difference between their way and the official Nintendo way. The advantages consist of faster loading, and less use of the flash.

also the NAND IS EMULATED with triforce so it does NOT take up nand space but rather SD and HDD space [IMG]
