Hacking Can Gateway Team brick my 3DS?

I was just referring to the whole 2.0 (?) brickway debacle. I dunno about any recent bricks, I haven't seen anything about it at least.

well there is more recent bricks, but they where down to user error rather than any malicious code, basically people trying to update sysnand while in gateway mode can brick their system....pretty sure updating to 6.x or lower in gateway mode works fine, but updating to 7.x or higher via rom, or retail cart while in gateway mode will cause the update not to be applied correctly.....ofc some people will say "oh i did it and it worked fine".....not sure if i believe them some people just say stuff like that......but basically if your ever trying to update sysnand do not enter gateway mode to do it

Basically if you dont try to do abnormal stuff you will be fine, but gateway are not responsible if you start flashing random firmware files or stuff in sysnand, they gave you emunand to try that stuff, dont do it in sysnand

You can update your sysnand with a rom, but only with an old launcher.dat like 2.2. (so 4.X only)
