Deletable, yes, you can delete them with ATD.

How many blocks will it free up for you? None. These channels are in a reserved space of the NAND that is used for nothing but those channels.

Deleting the channels will open blocks of memory, contrary to a previous reply. You can easily delete them in the data managment section on your wii.

You can do it, but I don't recommend it simply because you are messing with something that you can't get back through the Shop Channel. According to ShowMiiNand, the US versions of the channels (it's probably the same or similar for other regions) take up this much space:

    News Channel: 90 blocks
    Forecast Channel: 62 blocks

You can get them back just by updating from a disc.

Why would you do that? You can just reinstall the channels with MMM or DOP-mii, or download any install the wad.

I didn't say you couldn't get them back, just that you can't download them from the Shop Channel like the majority.

@xGRUMPYx: If you remove them, but want to add them later, I strongly suggest that you use Dop-Mii v12 or v13. All releases past that (at least to the current date) are quite unstable.

    I didn't say I was correcting you.
