If so, can they work with a Game Boy Micro?
no but emulators can like lameboy on the DS or Goombacolor for the GBA and I'm not sure about the micro
On a Micro, you'd want to use Goomba Color to emulate your GB/GBC games. It does a decent job at most games, but its compatibility is not 100%. You also will not get the colorizations that a GBC would normally apply to old GB games, as that information is stored directly on the GBC BIOS which cannot be dumped. To get these, you'd have to run the original cartridges on a GBC, GBA, or GBA SP.
Where is the color info stored? Is it in the save file?
