Can anyone suggest a guide/method to making a DS/DSiWare game?

I want to make DSiWare or a DS game, but I don't really know how. Could anyone give me a simple guide with the basics on how to make a DS game? I have DS Game Maker, but I don't really understand how to use it (I have installed it properly and it compiles the test game).

BlockDS and devKitPro are two homebrew SDKs that I recommend using for building games. DS Game Maker is very outdated and cannot be used for building DSi applications.
