Can anyone recommend a fairly decent digital camera please?

I'm not a cheap skate, I just wouldn't be using it all that often ...

It would just be for the occasional shot for forums, and such.

Always the way, isn't it? You need to photograph something, to up onto a site, and you don't have a camera ... I guarantee if/when I get a new one, that I'll have no call for it lol

Any recommendations in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Any sort of Canon Powershot, best cameras by far imo.

I don't know how much this is in the UK, but I found Casio Exilim 7.2MP models pretty neat.
It just has tons of macros, so if you're not a great cameraman, the macros are really great.
There are dozens of macros, including food and even business card.
(It'll recognize the business card and reshape it so that the card look rectangular, instead of ladder shaped parallelogram)
It especially excels in food macro, I was gonna post a pic, but my explorer got busted =(

The Z75 model of the Casio Exilim 7.2MP is around £80 - £90, and does seem to have a lot of cool features ... thanks for pointing that one out to me.

Sweet, it's selling for ~$175 in Canada so I thought that'd be around 100 pounds.
My mom has it and she takes good photos thanks to macros.
My girlfriend got a Sony camera that goes for ~$140, and that one requires more skill than Exilim although it's pretty decent as well.

hmmm ... I may go a store tomorrow, and check it out ... hate going to stores without a little prior knowledge ... stops the sales staff trying to bamboozle you lol
