I have an american Wii but my TV can't handle NTSC. It can however display PAL-60, so I'm wondering if there's any way to make it output PAL-60 when playing NTSC games?

I noticed that GeckoOS has a "Force PAL60" option, but maybe that is for PAL Wii (which I know can output PAL-60) owners playing imported NTSC games?

    Why won't you try it?

maybe anyregionchanger will work (changing the video mode). but please don't do this without some others confirmation because i have tested nothing myself.

(and maybe this doesnt suit your needs, maybe usving a channel like gecko-os is much safer)

Because my Wii is currently in pieces [IMG] I'm going to install a modchip which should be arriving any day now.

I've been offered to buy a TV which supports NTSC, but if I know I can get PAL-60 output I won't have to, so I was looking for a quick answer.

some NTSC games do not supoort pal-60 output, such as no more heroes. just bare that in mind. a tv that can do NTSC is a handy thing to have.
