Can a softmodded US PS2 play games from other regions through USB HDD?

    sometimes they will not boot due to incompatible with HDA (which has a very low % compatible to begin with)

    if they do, you will need to apply a region fix to realign the video
    there is one for PAL and NTSC
    y video fix source I think its called

    Most likely.

    If you want 100% convert the file with this, patch it with ESR then burn it at x2.4 with ImgBurn and play, play, play [with ESR]!

    Is there one to convert J to NTSC? I really want to play KH 2 FM.

    Like Japan? Doesn't Japan use PAL? If so the software I posted will work.

    Japan uses NTSC-J.

    JP-US-CN all use NTSC
    the rest of the world uses PAL

    Ugh, I just saw a video of someone who used the USB HDD for playing his PS2 games and he said that it slows down during cutscenes.

    Does anyone have a tutorial of how to play through the USB HDD from step 1 (unmodded PS2). I have no idea how to do this. I've been looking online and found this thing called the Independence Exploit.

    Do I need to follow all of these steps to get it to work with the USB HDD or are there certain parts of the video that I can not do so the USB can work?
