Can a dsi fit in a ds lite case?

I bought this ds lite casing for my sister but i accidentally bought two and i was wondering if my dsi can fit in it. I haven't had a specific answer to answer my question yet so I'd really appreciate it if someone answers this lol

Only with some extreme modifications which would probably not be worth it in your case, it would require some soldering with messy wiring, and a lot work and drilling in the plastic shell, possibly even involving some custom-designed 3D printed pieces. The DS lite shell is designed for a different motherboard with screw holes and other things in different places, a differently shaped battery, and without spaces for things like the cameras or the SD card slot.

Oh, well, have you just tried putting it in then? The DSi is slightly bigger but also thinner than the DS lite though, so I doubt it would fit very well if at all.
