I'm thinking about letting my CFW 3DS go for a Vita. I sold my modded Vita late last year but I'm regretting it.

Does anyone know if it's possible for eBay to remove a modded 3DS listing with NO mention of it being modded? Absolutely no words like "CFW", "hacked", "Modded", "Luma", or "FBI" would be included, and no images of any of this would be included either.

What would be included would be something like "3DS XL with hundreds of games". Would this alone be enough for eBay to assume it is hacked if someone were to report it?

Thanks for any info

I’ve heard ebay can be mixed but at the same time I’ve seen people sell stuff with pirated stuff included, if you want to avoid the gamble, you could leave it in a state where it’s easily modifiable and state that, e.g. Nintendo 3DS firmware version 9.x.

That said, you could face problems if the console is banned or flagged.

There are companies out there probably working on be half of Nintendo that tries to flags these listing, I tried and sold a few 3ds in the past, few of the listing that I posted got flagged , it is no big deal but becareful if you sold the system and before you shipped the listing get flagged , try to refund the buyer, or you might ship and lose money.

Cool thanks, yeah it's crazy how many people sell pirated stuff long-term on eBay. I've noticed those 500 DS games-In-One R4 carts for sale for years, by the same sellers so apparently they have never been flagged.

On the other side of the coin, I've seen people who have had their very first listing removed when trying to sell their modded 3DS.

This makes me thing it has to be all in the wording used. I bet the people who get theirs removed have ALL of the flag words in their listing, so I wonder if including none of them can clear you.

Ah interesting, I never realized that people working for Nintendo may be the ones flagging these. That makes it scarier, since they probably have a lot more weight in the situation. I always just assumed it was mainly competitors who were flagging them.

And thanks for the tip! I will be sure to keep that in mind
