Call of Duty will never be pay to play

    Put this in your holster so if Activision does go "WHAM! Pay-to-play Call of Duty!", you can shoot this silver bullet. I trust Activision about as far as I can throw them, and I'm talking about every person in the company in one giant knapsack to throw.

    Hurray for Black Ops, no P2P! anyway, i'm just wondering about this quote: "No such plan exists for this or any other Call of Duty (including the upcoming Black Ops)."

    Does that mean any Call of Duty ever or at this time? Because as the beginning points out "Fans will be pleased to know they won't have to pay to play multiplayer matches, at least for now."

    I know there is supposedly a CoD MMO in the works, and I'm guessing that will have a subscription, but I can seriously see the regular CoD going P2P if it stays as dominant as it is today, probably a year or two after the MMO comes out.
