Call of Duty: Modern Warfare revealed, reboots the series, has cross play and single player campaign

The latest annual Call of Duty game is here, with Infinity Ward rebooting the popular COD: MW subseries with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Unlike the previous Black Ops IIII, the new Modern Warfare will not utilize a season pass system, instead offering free content to players after launch. The game notably boasts crossplay between consoles and PCs, with both co-op and competitive multiplayer. This marks the return of a single player campaign to the series, which was not a feature in the prior entry. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set for release on October 25, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the latter being an exclusive through Battle.net.

Did not feel like making a new topic but it seems IGN pondered Jack Thompson for so long that they took on some of his traits

Even more amusing is a few years back they were variously defending or at least ambivalent towards that Hatred game

and torture scenes in GTA

I am then left with one conclusion. This unseen COD footage is going to be bloody extreme and I can't wait.

Rubbish we buy nintendo because of ther first party not third
While that makes sense these days their best consoles (NES, SNES, GB/GBC, GBA, DS) all had stellar third party support, when they no longer could woo third parties we got the N64, 3DS, Wii U and the tail end of the Wii. The gamecube represented middling support and thus is actually remembered slightly fondly by a few people.
