Im not sure which is better for making games, and any programs that are good, im on mac.
C++ or c#
I would use Swift and Apple's Xcode.
I'm not very familiar with Mac.
However, I can assure you that the C++ is the most used language in the video game world for big game.
I'm not talking about very small game such as flash game on web browser or candy crush on android, those are small game and I'm not aware of the language used to make them.
But today, 90% of big games such as Assassin's Creed, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Metal Gear Solid, they are all made with C++
C++ is the most optimised language for big game and it also uses many library to add more option in code.
So it depends a lot of what you want to do, if it's not a big game like those I named, and it's just a very small game, I'll go with Java instead of C++ since C++ require a lot of time to learn its basis
EDIT : By the way, C++ is also used on all plateforme, Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, so I supose it is 100% compatible with MAC too
i would but i also want windows versions
Windows is C# for games. You could use C++ but that is not my area of expertise
BTW I have a question too, what's the difference between C++ and C#?
I heard that the # in C# is the ++ wrote together, is that true?
F-++-+ is a good option. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
