Hi *.gbatemp

The European DS Lite is about to be released.
Now the big question pops in: What flahser to get?

I do wnat to play GBA games and NDS games without the need of fiddling with the roms and patching.
I'm more interested in NDS games BUT it should be able to play gba games without patching.

homebrew: yes, emulators mostly like NES

Uglyness? Well, the best would be: no sticking out... but if it can't be realized... okay...

Also: is there anything I need to pay attention to? Like the speed of the mini sd card, etc.?
which one to take?

Do you have a suggestion what kind of flasher to get?
I'm really confused with all the flashers

thanks

What's with all these threads? Why don't you research? It's easy.

at any rate,
So far the only ones that don't stick out of the DS lite is G6 lite and EZflash 4 lite (sticks out 0.8mm).

G6 Lite and EZflash4 lite has GBA compat. Ezflash4's is better.
G6 lite has better DS compat.
G6 lite battery runs longer.
G6 lite uses onboard 512mb memory. Ezflash4 lite uses microSD. Maximum of current microSD is 1GIG.

Not sure which one won't require patching but the game manager software should do it for you in the process of upload into the memory card. EZflash software has frequent updates so it might be a hasssle to get the latest games to work.

Speed of the memory card - faster the better. but really you should go for name brands like sandisk.

Suggestion on wat flasher to get? The whichever is cheaper and runs with the flash cart u're going to get. I think passkey3 works on both.

Okay...

So what I need is just the G6 lite and the passkey 3, right?
nothing else is needed?

Thanks for all the replies...

What about the homebrew compatibility with G6 lite?
The most important thing for me is that DSorganize works, can someone confirm this please?

EZ4 lite is out now so go for that or if you can wait and dont care about much space and want to change your games every so often go for the g6. One warning though, with the G6 internal memory if it dies it will be hard to replace.
