Glad to see somebody else agrees with me that the whole open city in a Burnout game seems really unnecessary.

I'll probably end up getting the game anyway as I love the other Burnout games, I just find it tedious having to drive 5 miles to get to an event where in the older games I could be instantly there.

And I just read that crash mode isn't in this game, WTF is up with that...

Burnout Paradise came out today in US. Enjoy!

Crash Mode was replaced with Showtime Mode. And Crash Mode was nothing special to me anyways... I prefer the racing at high speeds aspect.

AAA my arse , they removed split screen multiplayer , no reason for that other than to force you onto live. Bellends , they get nothing.

I got it early this morning in the post, which happened to be my day off.

That's a day before it's release in UK!

Thank you GAME for your speedy delivery.

It's such a great game. It takes a lot of getting used to at first, especially learning your way around the 250 miles of open road. But that's fine cuz the level design is simply amazing. Filled with detail. No area looks the same as any other.

It's a right blast to play online. Still haven't gotten around to trying out the online events (Paradise City server connection problems grrr).

Oh and the soundtrack I must warn you is rather crap. I think it's the worst EA Trax yet for Burnout. If emo, punk rock is your thing then you'll somehow like it. Btw the punk rock is nothing to the great standards of Yellowcard. Thank god they put the original in-house music from Burnout 1, 2 and 3 in the game and that you can choose to switch off songs you don't like (I kept like four or five EA Trax songs on out of 40). All the original music I kept on because it's so great.

Just played it yesterday. It's one of the better racing games that I actually like.

Great graphics and sense of speed!
