Burnout Paradise Remastered PC version releases on August 21

While Burnout Paradise's remastered edition launched earlier this March for consoles, a PC version was announced with no given release frame. Now, Criterion Games has let fans know that they'll be able to get their hands on the Windows version of the game in less than a week, on August 21st. If you're part of EA's Origin Access or Premier tiers, you can play the game early. For those that already own the decade-old game, you'll be able to get it for a 75% off discount. This remastered version of the game offers much higher resolution textures than the original, as well as 4K support.

If you already own it on Steam, and not Origin, you can right click the game in your Steam Library to view your CD key, and redeem it through Origin, where you'll be able to buy Burnout Paradise Remastered for only $5.

I want Burnout 3 and Flatout 2 in PS4 since i can't get them working in the PS2 emulator and also Demolition Racer from PSX.

Whats changed? I did a quick search on the googles and can't see a definitive answer, and the visual changes really don't seem that different and that's going off console comparisons. The PC version still stands up today (visually at least to me) so I really dunno if this remasters worth it

The last batch of DLC wasn't previously brought to PC.

Burnout Paradise is actually one of my favorite racing/crashing games, but there's no way I'm buying this. There's zero reason for a remastered version. The absurdity is they cut off the multiplayer stuff before I even got the game* and never bothered to port the DLC to PC. They could literally fix those two things and create another decent size (as big as Burnout Paradise main map is) DLC and call it a day. But, nah, let's just churn out another iteration of the series.

The sad part to me is Burnout Paradise really does seem like the pinnacle of the series, and I can't really imagine them doing anything but f---ing it up.

* Bought it as part of the Humble Origin Bundle. Doesn't even need Origin running to work and works really well under WINE on Linux.

I am so ready for this game! I've played the original on PS3 as a kid and loved it, now I can finally have that same experience again.
