OK, so when I play the game, it lags in some places, and the audio sounds echoed or something. Is this normal, or is something wrong?

sounds like bad media.
load it with a usb loader or make a better disc.
from usb this games loading times are acceptable.
this is a great game but from a disc you are looking at loading times up to 1 minute everytime you open a door. usb loader loading times are about 5 to 10 seconds.

are you using an NTSC wii? if so, some PAL games sometimes lags on NTSC wii. like on my part, if i play my PAL Mario Kart on my 4.1 US wii, it sometimes lags during the gameplay.
