I am getting my brother a DS. He's leaving for Japan at the end of the month for school. Can you suggest some Japanese games or learning carts that he may enjoy? Also on a side note, if he bought a game in Japan would he be able to play it in a US bought DS? Thanks.

The Ds is region-free meaning it can play any region game.

China games are iQue games hence the not working, other than that, yea everything works. (I never see iQue games put under releases anyhow, so you can just say that they play any DS game ;])

As for games to get him, are you asking for games to get someoen going to Japan or in general? Depends on how big the flashcart is, if your solution is both slot-1 and slot-2 and what kind of games he's in to.

I'd strongly suggest hitting up the [Essentials] list and checking them if you know what 'style' of games he likes.

Deja vu.......Am I your older brother, I hope not [IMG]. I would reccommend this homebrew , it allows you to insert custom vocab to use in the homebrew. Its what I'm going to try and use once i get an electronic form of my vocab list for this years class.
