My brother just broke my Wii. He said he had it on for about 5 hours straight and when he clicked the Hom button i said "Scriikckcaksdkasdz" and he smelled burnt electricity or whatever.. And now it won't start up! So I assume the power supply broke up?

Sorry it wasn't quite clear.
So he clicks the home button and random letters appear on the screen then you smell burnt electricity?
Elaborate please.

Like, does it still have red light when it's off?
Or is the whole thing just not receiving power at all?
5 hours... That's weird.
I have the oldest Wii (the one at launch) and sometimes I keep it on for like 3 days or so.

Yea it doesn't receive any power at all! And he said when he pressed the home button on the wii mote the wii just shut down and made strange noises and stuff.

Well, when you smell something, that usually means something is burned.

So you'll need to disassemble your Wii and find out what is burned. Be sure to take out the battery (button size) before disassembling it.

What your brother said doesn't make much sense. I'm willing to bet he dropped it. It's doubtful that hitting the home button would cause a surge or any kind it's not any kind of special menu, its just programed in the game, no different then any kind of menu.

In case your power supply is broken ask a friend who has a wii if you can try his, or use yours on his wii. If you don't you could try going to a used game store and seeing if someone who works there will let you try.

I agree with all the posts above.
We're gonna need to sort out where the problem is anyway.
Could be that only the adapter burned. (In that case your Wii is safe just buy an adapter.
