really hate how every single game is now getting multiple remasters/remakes.

it's time to make NEW games.
the last NEW broken sword game they made though was TRASH. it was so lazy nearly every puzzle involved using your phone to hack which involved lame pipe puzzle games.

Your entitled to your opinion but i guarantee more people would agree with me on this than you. ive played both and BS1 is still the far superior game. I admit some of it is nostaglia from playing it back in 1997 on my playstation, but it is a genuinely great point and click game.
Ooo, I'm intrigued! What's the guarantee? Where's the contract for your guarantee, so it's legally binding?

After some reading up on it im a bit less enthusastic about the remaster after hearing the directors cut content wont be present in it. especially considering with xBRZ in scummvm, you can make broken sword 1 look near modern anyway. ill still buy it but i cant help but mention that little bit of information

I'll probably get it. Shadow of the Templars was the first Broken Sword game I ever played. It's probably my favorite one.
Well that makes sense seeing as it was the first Broken Sword game 😅

I for one am glad the directors cut isn’t included. How could they have removed the original iconic intro. So yea I’m glad no DC.

Shovelware! How dare you sir!

But seriously, i don't think I've ever came across anyone with that opinion before. I assume you're not a huge fan of point 'n' click? This is usually considered to be one of the best.
I haven't played any of the "Classics" like Maniac Mansion, but I did thoroughly enjoy Freddie Fish and Putt-Putt as a child. Hell, I'd rather play those today than this game.

Cool game that went into early access yesterday. Still very bare bones but it's got a lot going for it https://store.steampowered.com/app/2400160/Glyphica_Typing_Survival/

@Veho, In the end, portable emulation handhelds are the exact same thing.

    Mostly in today's age.

    Wut.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
The hardware is not much different, in my opinion. It can emulate just about anything without needing a CPU upgrade, aside from a re-design.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Retro handhelds aren't really hiding the fact they're just phones with a D-pad. It's all the same SOC, just with different applications.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Exactly. That's what I'm at least trying to point out.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the high-end SOCs are still expensive so they tend to use older stuff, leftover stock and so on.

  • Veho @ Veho:
So KTR is asking, will you guys spring for the Snapdragon,
or should we get some older cheaper chipset.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
They probably thought to themselves that the latter would be the better option. Not only to make them easily affordable to produce and buy, but to retain the same performance to competitors.

After all, SoC is the same ones used in Android phones that were made for gaming.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gen2 is obsolete and probably can get bulk for cheap
